Lil' Fish

I absolutely love bath time! I no longer like to stay seated on my bottom. I amaze my parents with how much I enjoy kicking and splashing in the water on my belly...as my brother didn't do this until he was much older.

Excellent Coaches

My mommy has been really impressed with my soccer coaches. They do an amazing job from start to finish every practice.
Arm swings is one of my favorite stretches!
They coordinate creative drills for teaching skills like throw-ins.
They encourage and give us lots of feedback.
Thanks Coach Blake and Coach David for helping make soccer a highlight of the week.

Recent Visit to Washington

Karen and Mommy took a quick trip to WA in late February to celebrate the life of longtime family friend, Terry McCauley. It was a special bonus to see lots of family and friends during our visit.

Happy Birthday Karen!

My parents can hardly believe it's already been a whole year since my mommy's water broke in the church parking lot and they rushed off to the hospital to deliver me 7 hours later.
I've been spoiled on my first birthday with lots of thoughtful presents from family and friends who love me.
My grandpa Mike and grandma Donna drove down from Hayward to surprise us and help celebrate my birthday a day early.
My parents have both had the flu this past week...and my brother and I are battling some milder symptoms so we really appreciated all the meals they delivered us and the cake they bought for my party.
My mommy knew uncle Moo might tease her for only letting me try a "healthy cake" like angel food...so she also let me splurge on a cupcake from a friend's birthday party.
Yum!! The frosting and sprinkles were delicious!
I received some extra "coaching" from my brother on how to stuff all the cake into my mouth!

Acorn Woodpeckers

We had a wonderful, relaxing family outing this weekend in the Caspers Wilderness area south east of where we live. I was fascinated by all the acorns stuck in the holes of this tree trunk.
I learned that this acorn woodpecker, as it's name implies, creates granaries in which thousands of acorns are stored in holes drilled in tree trunks for future consumption.
We enjoyed a yummy picnic lunch before doing more exploring!

More Teething

My 5th tooth broke through this week. Look closely to notice all my pearly whites!
