Three Little Pigs and the Big Bad Wolf

This classic children's story is one of my favorites. I study the details on every page.
I like to "huff and puff" and blow the house in just like the wolf!

Cousin Johnna's Club Volleyball Tournament

I made a 'Kodiak claw' picture to give to cousin Johnna. Her club volleyball team is in Anaheim this weekend for a huge tournament.
Johnna has a very powerful, precise serve that the opponents had a tough time returning.
She is also an amazing setter. The Kodiaks upset the #2 seed in the tournament today after coming in ranked #37!
Johnna couldn't believe how big my sister and I are getting and we can't believe she'll be a senior in high school next year!

Defending the fortress

It took me at least 20 minutes to build this large fortress with all my blocks. To protect it, I sat in front and GROWLED at anyone who came close. It made my mom laugh!

Bike Ride Preparations

It was a beautiful Father's Day weekend so one of our outings was a family bike ride. My sister and I like to help get everything ready. I assisted papa with putting air in the tires and Karen helped gather all our helmets. Mama didn't get any pictures during our ride...but we had a great time and even stopped at a park.

Thanks so much for the Keens, Janie! I wear them all the time. They provide great support for all the walking and climbing I'm doing now.

Big Foam Hand

It makes my parents chuckle. All week I've enjoyed putting on and taking off this big foam hand. It's almost as big as I am!

Cupcake Kids

At a one-day class I attended this week with my mom and sister, I enjoyed doing some introductory cupcake crafts but my favorite part was definitely decorating and eating my frog-eyed cupcakes!

Lady bug hunt

This week in my Bug Buddies class we learned about lady bugs. At the end of class we wore a polka-dotted visor we made, carried a little bug box we decorated and headed outside to collect as many lady bugs as we could find. It was a lot of fun.

Beginning T-Ball

I had so much fun at my first t-ball practice yesterday through the City of Irvine.
Coach Blake was very patient and helpful giving me tips for my swing.

We also practiced throwing and fielding the ball.
 We then practiced base running.

Notice my face of determination heading into homeplate!
Karen helped as our unofficial "ball girl".

Dump Truck Rides

Papa discovered I fit in my brother's dump truck. I had a blast going for rides across the blacktop!

Alligator Lizard

Papa caught an alligator lizard to show us (found in almost any natural habitat in CA). I wasn't as nervous around the lizard as my brother and Mama were.

Kitchen Helpers

We love to help Mama prepare breakfast. Today we made a puffy pancake (a.k.a. German Pancake).

Ready for storytime

My parents remind me it's a big responsibility being an older brother. For instance, I have to be a good example for Karen as she's learning to sit and quietly listen to storytime.

Library time with Papa

After listening to stories and singing songs with our librarian, Ms. Laura, Papa helped me with a project related to the books we heard. Then he helped Karen practice her walking as we headed to check out books for the week.

Painting with Karen

Karen watches me do a lot of craft projects, but besides crayons she hasn't been able to help with many projects until yesterday. She did great painting with water using these "Brush-and-Blend" pages from Auntie Teddy and Uncle Kevin. Thank you!
