Adventure Hike!

Even though my sister looks a little nervous in some of these pictures, we had the best adventure hike with our mama this week - close to 2 hours. We had so much fun on what we called our own "forest park" along the trail. There were all sorts of stumps, vines, roots, branches, and fallen trees to climb on, swing from, and explore.

Lil' Train Conductor

We had so much fun earlier this week giving our stuffed animals rides on our homemade train!
Notice my fist in the air as I yelled "all aboard"! Our house was the train station and our driveway made a great scenic loop for the train.

First Time Bowling

My sister and I had a great time bowling at Evan's birthday party this weekend. We used a 6 pound ball and got lots of pins down! They even had little bowling shoes my size. Karen will have to wait until her shoe size is a bit bigger.
Happy 7th birthday, Evan! Thank you for the invitation, all the yummy food, and party favors.
We also LOVED the delicious homemade rainbow cupcakes Holly made!

Hairstylist Karen

My sister loved combing my hair at least 10 minutes the other day. I didn't mind as it felt like a head massage! My mom got a kick out of it.

It's really special when dresses like this one can be worn by Ellie, Hadley, Emma, Lily, and now Karen. Thank you Janie and Mary for blessing us with so many beautiful clothes!

Glow in the dark bath

Grandma D brought us each glow sticks this weekend and it made for the coolest bath ever - in the dark!!

Pre-Dinner Pasta Necklace

Making this pasta necklace took a lot of concentration and it was a great project while mama was prepping dinner (pasta of course)!

Harvest Bags

We made pumpkins on our bags using potato halves and our thumb print.

Wedding, Friends, and Family

Papa grew up on a farm in Stanwood, WA. As an only child, his neighbors (the Smalls) were like family. We attended Eric Small's beautiful outdoor wedding this weekend in Mount Vernon.
Papa and his Mom #2 (Karen - the mother of the groom, Eric).
We also stopped by to visit longtime friends (now both 94 years old) Betty and Otto Sather.
Grandma D hosted a delicious potluck with longtime family friends from Stanwood - the Tarsi's and the Grohs'. This weekend was full of very special reunions!

Yesterday was exciting as I started my first day at Westwood Baptist Preschool. I'll be attending three mornings a week. My whole family was there to support me!

Not shy for the camera this morning

New Reading Loft

My papa put up these shelves in our playroom for all our toys. I recently discovered they also make a great reading loft. When I crawled up to the 2nd shelf...my sister soon followed suit.

Splash Time at the Zoo

At the end of a spontaneous visit to the zoo, we stopped by the Kid Zone. What started out as a simple curiosity with the water, turned into my sister and me getting completely drenched from head to toe.
As we had a blast running through the water for close to 45 minutes, our mama heard other parents walk by and tell their kids "stay away from the water...these kids have other clothes to change into". Mama could only chuckle to herself because she had NO towel or change of clothes for us as this was totally unplanned. Good thing it was a nice day and we were done viewing the animals!
