Our Awesome Grandma

We are blessed to have an awesome grandma. This is just a glimpse of all she's done with us this spring. She loves to chase us, play with us, read to us, go on hikes with us, let us help her in the kitchen, help with projects on our property, make the best applesauce brownies, bring a "surprise bag" when she comes to visit, send us mail, do art projects with us, make us Luke Skywalker Chili & Spiderman Pasta, cut our hair, and she even put in a new pea-gravel area at her house for us to play in. We love you, Grandma D!

AWANA Awards Night

I recently graduated from Cubbies. I memorized over 50 Bible verses the past 2 years and I can't wait to be a Sparky next year.

We met Cubbie Bear after the awards ceremony!

Parent Tea for Holden's Pre-School Graduation

My class has been practicing lots of songs that we presented at the Parent Tea. A power point presentation and portfolio of all my work was also showcased at the end-of-year celebration. The teacher asked each of my classmates and me the following impromptu question, "What do you want to be when you grow up?" We said our responses into a microphone. There were all sorts of answers including: teacher, firefighter, pilot, policeman, doctor...and my answer was "A Dad". Of course it brought tears to momma's eyes. Papa was out of town for a track meet but she captured it on video. :)

 Going back for seconds.

Lacey's Family Fun Fair and Parade

We had so much fun at the annual spring fair on Saint Martin's Campus. We also got to march in our first parade (with the Saints). We decorated our wagon, made signs, and got to hand out SMU t-shirts to people in the crowd!

Mother's Day Get-Away to the WA Coast

Papa's track season seems so long, so busy, and it's still not over with nationals next week...so our tradition of getting away for Mother's Day weekend is VERY special. We had such a great time exploring the coast, flying our pirate kite, riding horses and bikes along the Pacific, hiking, and looking for lighthouses.

Thanks Janie!

I love my Brazil jersey you brought back from the World Cup last year! It's great for playing soccer in!
