Saints Cross-Country Camp at the Brewers

Near the summer's end, SMU's cross-country team camped on our property for a week to be close to the Capital State Forest and all the trail-running. Karen and I made a huge "Run Fast Saints" poster to display on the back porch where the college athletes ate their meals. We are their #1 fans!
Papa and Mama had team meetings, running sessions, and goal setting in our front yard between the runs.
We loved having the college athletes play with us during their free time!
I hung out with Jasper in his hammock during a very competitive whiffle ball game in our front field.
Midway through camp we went to the WA coast. Karen and I played while the athletes ran barefoot in the sand and did their core routine.

Karen loved playing football with Jasper.
The Saints helped us build a huge sand pirate ship.

We had a blast playing in it until the waves/tide came in to destroy it.
We ended our time at the coast doing our annual "trash clean up" along the beach.
We can't wait until next summer's XC camp!! We are very fortunate to have a great group of college athletes to work with (and play with)!

Camping in the Teanaway River Valley

It was a little cold and we saw some snow in the mountains above us, but we still had fun at a beautiful camping spot we found along the Teanaway River outside of Cle Elum. On our last day, we had a blast visiting the Ellensburg Rodeo and Kittitas County Fair!

Supersauce!!

These two Superheroes (Batman and Robin) loved helping make applesauce.

Visit to Grandma D's House

We had such a great visit with mama to Grandma D's house the weekend before school started. We did crafts, picked fresh veggies and fruit from her garden, went on a bike ride, played at 3 parks, fed the fish in her new pond, and visited Kayak Point. Thanks for planning all the fun activities!

First Day of Kindergarten!

I'm ready for this next adventure! Mama tried to hide her tears, but I caught her crying a few times this morning.
I whispered to Papa before my family dropped me off..."I can't believe I'm in kindergarten!"
Karen is going to miss me, but she promised to "babysit" my favorite stuffed animal, Ba, while I'm at school.
With my teacher, Mrs. Vannice.
