5K Rabbit Run

Our mommy pushed my brother and me in the double BOB this morning for a 5K Rabbit Run. The race included an Easter Egg hunt along the way. Mom admitted she was more competitive than she thought she'd be...so she took us back to all the egg stations after she finished her race.
We admired mommy's medal and had some post-race fun with eggs and a big giant bouncy ball.

Night of Hope - Fight Against Malaria

We recently attended the Night of Hope at Concordia University...a night of music, food and art. All the proceeds went to the Lutheran Malaria Initiative (LMI). We learned that every 60 seconds, a child in Africa dies from malaria...but we can help fight this desease as it is totally preventable and treatable.

I had fun crawling around. I was especially intrigued by Marty the Mosquito - he reminds us the mosquito is what transmits malaria.
We enjoyed watching Concordia students perform different talents.

Leah helped me make a few strokes on this community art project.
My favorite way to contribute to LMI was purchasing goodies at the bake sale.

Decorating Easter Eggs

Papa is going out of town the next few days for a track meet...so we made sure to decorate our hard-boiled eggs after dinner last night.
I was so excited how colorful the eggs turned out!
Karen had fun too...observing from above. I'm sure she'll get to help decorate next year.
We let the eggs dry while we took a bath and then came down to put stickers on.

Annual Visit to Strawberry Farm

Tanaka Farms is the largest organic U-pick farm in Orange County.
I loved trying all the fresh veggies like carrots, bok choy and sweet onions.

This is the tractor that pulled us around the 30 acre farm.
When we got home...I dressed up in my sister's Halloween costume so we could play "strawbery farm"!

No looking back!

I continue to make new breakthroughs at the park. I'm not afraid to climb up, pull up, go through or slide down almost anything!

Great day for a kite!

We read about kites today at the library...followed up with a craft of making my very own kite. I had so much fun trying it out!

Glow in the dark egg hunt

I participated in an egg hunt at Concordia a few nights ago with 500 plastic glow in the dark eggs. David helped me find over a dozen eggs and my mommy didn't realize I actually found the egg with the grand prize inside (certificate for a longboard) until the next morning. The organizers had already given away the prize...but I'm glad it went to a college student. I still had a blast!

To Infinity and Beyond!

After playing Toy Story with some kids at the park yesterday, I asked my mom if she could make me a "real" Buzz Lightyear outfit. This is what we came up with...and I've been buzzing around the house ever since!

Starting to pull up on furniture!

Saint Patrick's Day Dash

My sister and I were at Concordia very early this morning helping my parents with a 5K Saint Patrick's Day Dash that served as a fundraiser for our track & field team.
There were some spirited runners...even among the top finishers!
Karen kept busy during the race practicing her new skill of pulling up on anything and everything.

I had fun playing "pirates" with Leah!
I also "helped" with lots of the set up responsibilities.
Overall it was a successful race and everyone had fun!

Queen of Spaghetti

My parents have noticed a significant increase in my appetite as I've been getting more and more active crawling and climbing. I loved mommy's spaghetti for dinner last night (using some of papa's elk still left from Montana). I definitely needed a bath after this meal!

Basketball practice

I started youth basketball through the City of Irvine last week. It's more challenging than soccer but I'm having fun trying all sorts of different sports.
