Paper Bag Puppets

I had so much fun making paper bag puppets yesterday. My favorite part was using the glue stick!

I introduced myself to the puppets...I named them Ziggy and Stripey...and then I had a blast doing puppet shows last night behind our coffee table!

Wagon Pull

My mama was impressed that I insisted on pulling the wagon all by myself...all the the way to the park (1/4 of a mile away). But I have to admit, I did have her pull me back home afterwards!

Post-Practice Storytime

Leah was so nice to read me some stories after she was done with her workout today!

Grafals Visit!

This weekend we had a special visit from some of my parent's close friends - Tony & Sara and their kids Sydney (7) and Christian (3).

Our parents weren't quite prepared for us to play at the beach - but that didn't stop us...we just rolled up our pant legs, took off our shoes & socks and had a blast!

Then it was time to clean up and try to get off all that sand...you know how it sticks to everything!

Saturday's Track Meet

My friend Amery and I had a view even better than front row seats at the track meet this weekend. We cheered "Go Eagles"!

I got to ride (in and out of the track stadium) on a water cooler! I guess it was extra strength training for the athletes.

Caleb let me listen to "Old McDonald" on his headphones during the meet.

Learning the Block Start

I learned how to start out of blocks yesterday with Tommy.

I was so appreciative that I gave Tommy a back rub after the lesson.

He also said it felt relaxing to have my 28 pound body walk on his back!

ZAMP in the LAMP!

I remember Nathan and Evan previously reported a JERTAIN in the CURTAIN at their house...we recently found a ZAMP in the LAMP at ours!

Rattlesnake Adventure

My papa stopped to show me a rattlesnake that had been run over by a mountain biker during our wagon stroll in Peter's Canyon this weekend.

As you can see, I was pretty relaxed looking at the snake...but my mama was a little on edge...especially after Papa shook the rattle and she thought it was still alive. Yes, she screamed!!

This is an animated picture of me retelling the story of encountering the rattlesnake. I relived it over and over again and it made my parents laugh..."Papa picked up snake....Mama screamed AAHHHHH!...Oh, Jim!!!"

Then, of course, I wanted out of the wagon so I could look for snakes too!

Superman!

Caleb is the tallest guy on our track & field team, so he does a great lift for playing SUPERMAN!

The Very Hungry Caterpillar

I love the book about the very hungry caterpillar...so I was fascinated today at practice watching this caterpillar inch it's way across the astro turf.

Arielly shared my excitement and awe of the caterpillar.

Learning to Somersault!

I had a blast learning how to somersault today! It made me giggle every time I did it!

New Car Seat

Yesterday morning Papa helped install my new forward-facing car seat! I loved being able to peer out the front window. I can spot garbage trucks, school buses and firetrucks even more easily now!

Belly Comparison

My mommy is 37 weeks pregnant now...but I think my "toddler belly" is even bigger!

Balance Bike

I'm having fun practicing my "strider" balance bike...very similar to the one Emma got for her birthday. :)

Team Shirts

I helped hand out team shirts to our track & field athletes before their first meet this weekend.

Birthday Boy Visits "Pretend City"

For my birthday on Thursdsay, I visited Pretend City - a Children's Musesum in Irvine. I LOVED all the free play and exploration.

I was a grocery clerk.

A plumber!

A farmer!

A marine biologist!

A construction worker!

A firefighter!

A car mechanic!

A happy kid!

Cupcake Decorating

I helped my mommy make carrot cake cupcakes for the team to decorate after practcice on my birthday. I chose a snowman theme. Here I am overseeing the decorating with Brian (senior, captain, long jumper) on the team. The team also wrote down some advice and a memory of me for a time capsule I get to open when I turn 16!

I got to judge each athlete's "snowman" cupcake and the winner got a prize! Taylor had a creative black bow tie she made with black licorice.

I successfully blew out the 2 candles on this snowman cupcake!

This was the winning cupcake!
