My mommy wishes she was more of a "green thumb". So we're learning together how to start an avocado plant from a seed.
We've had success already with some fernlike foliage coming out of our carrot tops. I check it everyday to see the growth and make sure there is enough water.

ReplyDeleteBe careful with the avocado tree. When I was in Gauadlajara, there was an avocado tree in the courtyard at our school. (Janie might remember the same tree.) When the fruit was ripe, we had to avoid sitting on the benches under the tree because the fruit would fall randomly and nearly knock people out!

ReplyDeleteHolden tell your mommy to put some just a drop or two of plant food in the water or some root developer. It will help form roots. Have fun growing your avocado tree :o)
