Superman!
I love flying like Superman after my bath!
I insisted on wearing my dish cloth Cape and Superman "S" to my gymnastics class yesterday. I practiced my flying skills on the trampoline and all the mats!

Alone time with Papa
Nothing like quality time with my papa (especially when Holden is down for a nap)! My parents say I'm a quick learner...I've discovered when I can have some one-on-one time with just them!
Ty Warner Sea Center
We had a great time exploring this hands-on aquarium. A highlight was the touch pools. My sister even touched a shark with her toes!
We also enjoyed this beautiful beach during our visit to Santa Barbara. In the background is one of the Channel Islands. We hope to visit this national park in the future.
After the aquarium we ate at a delicious local seafood restaurant. My favorite part was actually the lemons...yes, I eat lemons just like my papa!

Danish Capital of the United States
Our family visited Solvang, CA this week - the authentic Danish town that inspired Leavenworth to become Bavarian-themed in the 1960's.
We enjoyed the windmills, horse drawn trolley, Danish bakeries, atmosphere and architecture.
My parents thought it would be funny to see if my sister fit in one of the large Danish wooden shoes!
We took a break to enjoy some amazing locally-made ice cream!
We also checked out their local hat shop - very similar to my auntie Teddy and uncle Kevin's Hat Shop in Leavenworth! We didn't buy this Dr. Seuss Hat...but I sure wanted to!
One of our last stops in Solvang was the Bulldog Cafe! I doubt Leavenworth would have a cafe with this name...considering it is Cashmere's high school mascot. :)

Joshua and the Battle of Jericho
One of my favorite stories in the Bible is Joshua and the battle of Jericho. Yesterday I made some trumpets and marched around the city walls 7 times.
My favorite part was blowing the trumpet and making the walls come tumbling down!!!

New Homemade Building Blocks!
This Saturday I helped my papa start a really fun project. We picked out wood at Home Depot and made lots of different building blocks for me to play with.
When I woke up Sunday morning, all the blocks were done, sanded and ready for construction! I couldn't wait to start building all sorts of roads, bridges, ships, castles, tunnels, etc. Thanks so much Papa!!
Dancing to the Beach Boys!
We had so much fun dancing at a free concert this weekend at Concordia featuring the band Catch a Wave - a tribute to the Beach Boys!
I wasn't shy at all to go down front and show my moves!

Sister Pirate
I had fun dressing my sister up as a pirate today. I named her Captain Ah-goo (since that's what she says a lot)...and I played Captain Hook. I'm sure this won't be the last time I dress her up!
Avocado Update
The avocado seed I planted in water a few months ago has done well so today my papa helped me transplant it to some soil. A fun project for a sunny day!

Full 4th!!
My parents were brave waking Karen and me up before 6 a.m. for a 5K road race on the 4th of July preceding a fun local parade. That evening we enjoyed a fireworks show in Irvine before I got to meet some firemen at Concordia. The university sits on a hill and has a great view of the city!
