Little Scientists

We love the new science kit we got for Christmas from Auntie Amy and Uncle Moo. Thank you!
This experiment involved growing a rainbow of soft watery crystals.
Scientists sometimes use these crystals to help retain water in soil because they absorb up to 150 times their weight in water.
We investigated the crystals with smell, touch, and sight (using our magnifier).

Another test involved watching slow-moving colors collide, form distinct barriers, and eventually mix and flow together.
Karen was amazed by the colorful transformation of our experiment after our bath last night!
