6 & Under Track Race

In early April, my parents hosted the largest track & field meet in Saint Martin's school history. Near the conclusion of the meet, the announcer informally invited all children 6 and under to race a 100 meter dash. The entire crowd was cheering ecstatically (and laughing) as no one told the kids where to stop; they kept on running right past the finish line and did a whole extra lap (500 meters total). Several college athletes and coaches said the kid's race was the highlight of the meet! 

Believe it or not, Karen actually caught the little boy (about 50 meters ahead) on the final curve.
