New Neighbors??

My Papa recently came into the house and said "We have some new neighbors!" He was referring to some little black and white birds that have inhabited a bird house our good friend Dan Castano made for us. Here my mommy and I are checking it out!

Adventure Run to Saint Peter's Mission

This weekend my parents went on a very hilly 9 mile adventure run with me to visit an old Catholic Mission established in 1865.

Luminary Walk Along River's Edge Trail

Yesterday evening my parents walked me along the Missouri River overlooking Eagle Falls Damm (one of the 5 falls in Great Falls).

The Luminary Walk is an annual tradition... part of the Lewis and Clark Festival here in Great Falls.

Take Me Out To The Ballgame

I joined my parents for a Friday Date Night (Pizza and a Baseball Game). It was the Great Falls Voyagers vs. the Helena Brewers (Two Semi-Professional Teams). This the closest we'll get to watching the "Big Leagues" here in Montana as we have no Pro Teams.

Rootbeer Ribs!

Mary requested my mom's Rootbeer Rib Recipe (one of Papa's favorites)! Enjoy!

1 1/2 tsp salt, 1 tsp cumin, 1 tsp. paprika, 1/2 tsp ground pepper, 1/2 tsp cinnamon, 1/4 tsp. cloves (mix these all together and rub into 3 1/2 pounds of babyback ribs) - cook 1 1/4 hours at 350 degrees (covered meaty side down)

Boil 4 cups of Rootbeer for about 20 minutes until only 1 1/4 cup left. Then add 1/3 cup barbecue sauce, 2 Tbl tomato paste, 1 Tbl vinegar, 2 tsp dijon mustard and 1 tsp worcestershire sauce (pour 1/2 the Rootbeer sauce onto the ribs) - now meaty side up at 350 degrees uncovered for 35-45 minutes more. Makes 4 servings.

Mouthful

My Papa is gnawing on one of my Mom's famous Rootbeer Ribs while I'm gnawing on a frozen wash cloth. It feels good since I'm teething!

More Fun With Exersaucer

When Uncle Micah visited last month he had me dangle more toys from my exersaucer and he made me promise to practice balancing in it every day. You'd be proud...I'm getting stronger Uncle Micah and able to reach for more toys now!

Montana Backroads

With temperatures in the mid 60's, it's been the perfect weather for running and exploring "Montana Backroads" this past week with my parents.

Yesterday I took "Tummy Time" to a new level...on top of my parent's big exercise ball.

Men at Work

Papa had athletes Shane and Juan over today to help with more yard work outside!

We admired 3 more Prairie Dogs that Papa caught in our yard and released at the Buffalo Jump.

I had a good grip on Juan!

While the men were hard at work outside...I was inside working hard on more "Tummy Time"!

Brewer Family Friday

Today was my 4 month apointment. Can you believe the nurse made me wait for my doctor in nothing but a diaper? Good thing I had this blanket to stay warm! I had to get more immunization shots. I stayed strong; it was probably tougher on Mommy than me. I weighed in at 14 pounds (in the 34th percentile) and measured 27.9 inches (in the 99th percentile).

After my doctor's appointment, we went to Books and Babies at the local library. My favorite part is singing songs with Mommy and the other kids!

Later on today Papa did a bunch of yard work and even caught a little Prairie Dog. He released it at the Buffalo Jump State Park 3 miles away...hoping it won't come back to dig more tunnels in our yard!

I ended the day wearing a new Onesie to thank my Papa for all his work outside and bringing me to all my appointments today.
